It’s not uncommon for us to make new connections at weddings. However, we had no idea how much fun we would have after a girl came up to Khloe during an event to ask for help with her own wedding! What started as one passing conversation turned into an amazing collaboration for Emily & Roberto’s Boho Glam Wedding. This wedding was cozy and intimate. The boho vibes, unique florals and glitz helped to create the most amazing wedding of our last fall wedding season! Even the rain that inevitably poured down made this wedding truly magical!
Not So Glamorous Beginnings
One of our favorite things to hear from our brides is how they met their husbands! So of course, we asked Emily to share all the details! And lucky for you, it’s too good not to share!
During her senior year of college at UTC, Emily had to do a year long thesis for Sociology. Her topic: Millennials and Online Dating. As part of the study, Emily joined 5 different dating sites and went on over 100 dates in one school year. And wouldn’t you know, Roberto was the 3rd date! But the study had to go on! So, Emily continued to date Roberto while going on over 90 other first dates to collect data. And once the study was over, Roberto and Emily were finally free to continue developing their relationship exclusively. And from there the rest is history!
Boho Glam Bride
Emily was nothing short of radiant on her big day. She had the help of another former Wildflower bride Cailtyn Fenderson with her makeup and Juliet’s Beauty Lounge added a touch of boho to her hair with a beautiful braid and soft curls. Her dress from OZ Bridal fit her perfectly and we are obsessed with the sparkling lace.
But let’s not forget the groom! We’re also totally digging his suit! It’s the perfect fit for this fall wedding.
Glamorous Wedding Ceremony
A few days before the wedding, we had a decision to make. It seemed like the weather just would not cooperate. So, we called Cleveland Tent and ordered a tent for the ceremony site beside the woods at Ridge Rose. Two days later, after we set up chairs & all the details, we lit the candles and plugged in the bistro lights. Immediately, we were struck with how cozy and intimate the whole space felt! It was in that moment, that we knew this entire day was about to be so cozy and magical.
We’re still swooning over how beautiful the flowers were and how warm and intimate everything felt. And we have now doubt that the rain just added to the entire atmosphere in the absolute best way.
Boho Glam Reception
To set the boho mood, Emily enlisted the help of Blue Thistle to bring in another beautiful floral installation. It took them about 4 hours to install the boho piece above the head table. And the little metallic details added in contribute to the warmth and cheer of the wedding vibe. Plus, the china & goblets from Copper Quail took the whole night up a notch.
The cross back chairs and farm tables from Luma set the bridal party apart. And, of course, the peacock chairs were a great boho addition for the bride & groom! Just look at the silk orange napkins and gold candle sticks!
The rest of the wedding guests still got to enjoy the warm glow of love with antique china and more amazing florals!
Sparkling Boho Details
What’s more bohemian than a traveling bar?! Cosmic Blues Bar is actually co-owned between the bride and one of her bridesmaids! It was so special for them to be able to show off all of their hard work and serve their most treasured loved ones their very own drinks! Peep the Bar Menu for a sneak peak into their drinks and some lettering by Blue Honey Design Co.
The amazing cakes & desserts were inspired by Roberto’s Portuguese & South African heritage. The caramel drizzle and berry topped cakes were made and decorated by Sierra’s Cakewerks. And they definitely did not disappoint!
Glamorous Wedding Party
The entire reception was one amazing party! It was fun and so obvious that the entire friend group was really close. Everyone was dancing, and we mean everyone! Not one guest opted out of joining in on the fun. The twinkly bistro lights under the big tent reception area made the perfect backdrop for this boho glam wedding reception.
Before leaving the bride made a quick change into the most glam silver sequined dress. And when you have a photographer like Casey Yoshida and outfit like that, the only reasonable thing to do is to have a mini photoshoot. So, Emily grabbed her groom and together they danced around her dad’s retro chevy truck and twirled the night away while Casey worked his magic.
All in all, this entire boho glam wedding was truly magical. We loved being able to celebrate such an awesome couple and play such a significant role in pulling it all off! All of the vendors we got to work with were fantastic and we loved all of the collaboration. Emily & Roberto, thanks for working with us. We wish you all of the best as you continue to grow together and fall more and more in love over the years to come! Here’s to you two! Cheers!
